Visiting Hours & Policies

At Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center, we believe having visitors is important to the well-being of our patients and we encourage family and friends to visit. We are committed to creating a private, safe and healing environment, which means keeping noise to a minimum in patient areas. With your help, we are able to achieve this environment by observing the following guidelines:

  • Patients at Santa Fe Medical Center can receive visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outside of regular business hours, you must enter through the emergency department.
  • Children are also welcome to visit but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to the high incidence of respiratory viruses during certain times of the year, visitors 14 years old and younger will not be allowed to visit between November and May.
  • For the comfort, safety and privacy of our patients, visitors will be asked to keep all hallways clear and to keep noise to a minimum.
  • If you have an active infection, fever, cough or are not feeling well, please do not visit patients.
  • Be sure to use the hand sanitizer we provide before and after entering a patient room. If a patient has been placed on special infection precautions, we ask that you follow the instructions that the nurse provides for your safety and that of other hospital patients.

Special Visiting Hours and Exceptions

  • Please note that other exceptions may occur in other areas based on individual patient needs.
